Research Interests:
1.  Dynamics of block ionomer complexes (BICs): rates and reactions of BICs with different ionic cores.
2.  Self-assembly system for targeted nanodelivery of protein: polymerization of block copolymers and fabrication of protein encapsulated into the BICs.
3.  Industrial collaborations.

Evaluation of different generation dendrimer porphyrins encapsulated into the polymeric micelles for PDT effect: 1) synthesis and characterization of water-soluble diblock and triblock biopolymers; 2) synthesis and characterization of dendrimers; 3) physical properties of polymeric micelles such as size, morphology and stability; 4) In vitro study for the application in drug and gene delivery.

Preparation and characterization of nanoaggregate (e.g. polymer micelle) using double-hydrophilic block copolymers and surfactants, metal ions, as well as drugs; Synthesis, modification and characterization of polystyrene latexes; Adsorption mechanism and reactions of electron donor and acceptor on PS latex surfaces; Adsorption and release of fluorescence probes in polymer micelles and latexes.
